Funerals Northern Ireland
Mourn a Death... Celebrate a Life...
While it’s natural to mourn the death of a loved one, most people would like the funeral service to be an opportunity to celebrate the life of the person who has passed away.
Working as an Independent Funeral Celebrant since 2014, I have led hundreds of funerals at various locations across Northern Ireland. Whether the service has been held in the family home, a funeral home or the local crematorium, it will always have been a respectful and dignified celebration of life.
Using an Independent Funeral Celebrant allows the family to choose the content of the Funeral Service.
Over the last few years, I have found that, while many families want some religious content in the service, they don’t want a full religious service led by a member of the clergy. I always allow the family to decide what hymns, prayers or Bible readings should be included. These will form part of the service around the life story of the deceased.
Alternatively, if the family prefer a non-religious service – sometimes known as a humanist service – I will work with them to create a celebration including family tributes with a choice of music and readings.
We just wanted to say thank you for leading Billy’s funeral last week.
You seemed to really understand our needs and what Billy wanted at his funeral.
Your kindness and care during the whole process was very much appreciated.
Thank you for your guidance in bringing together memories of Dad…and the beautiful delivery to-day.
It was very much appreciated.
